Flower Camping Les Ondines | Camping 4 Étoiles Souillac

The location of this campsite by the Dordogne river and close to the town is great. There is a nice pool and children's play area and the restaurant serves good food and drinks and is very well priced. The pitches are spacious and there is a choice of sun or shade. The sanitary blocks are clean but only lukewarm water to the dish washing sinks. The temperature of water to showers was OK. My negatives are the pitches have very long grass and some look very neglected. There are a couple of fresh water points apparently but we couldn't find them and we obtained our fresh water from the sinks in the sanitary block. There are no dedicated sinks for washing your hands only sinks for doing dishes but my biggest problem is the disposal of waste water and emptying chemical toilet. There is an aire type disposal point and the WC drain is not clearly indicated so consequently toilet waste is being thrown down the grey waste drain and toilet paper remains on the drain grille. The fresh water tap is very close to the drain and I would not use it. Apparently there is a hose pipe for fresh water by the workman's shed but it was not clearly sign posted and covered by a tarpaulin when we were visiting . These problems were highlighted 11 months ago and also in 2018 but have not been rectified. I think it would be quite easy to install some fresh water points on the outside of the sanitary blocks and would greatly improve the hygiene. OK of a short stop over but I would not return

Really nice campsite, great facilities, bouncy castles, pool etc, will probably come here again (we extended 1 week to 2 here because it's so nice), so much to see around the area. Only points against it, the road up to the site is a bit scary as it is narrow with cars parked all around as there is also a water park opposite and as there were no encouraging signs for the campsite down the road I was quite worried I would get stuck there. Also the motorhome point is the only place to fill caravan water or empty grey waste, a few standpipes would have been nice.

Firstly can I say what a good site to stop at great location beautiful village right on the river Dordogne, well run English speaking restaurant / takeaway and a nice reception shop for your immediate needs, showers and toilets are always a first indication of the standard of the site and these are all OK . The reason we will not be returning is the water point, (singular) grey waste point, (singular) and the chemical toilet waste point (singular) all in the same place at the motorhome dumping Station. I don't want to empty my toilet waste on the same point I fill my fresh water along with the rest of the site, this place needs more water and waste points desperately , disappointed
